Solutions to NVR HDD Cannot Record
Hi, y’all,
Have you ever encountered the problem that the NVR is obviously equipped with a hard disk, and usually works normally, but when you want to find the video files, you find that the hard disk is not available, or the video files of a certain period of time are missing?
This situation is generally caused by two reasons, the first may be the hard disk hardware problems. We recommend that you check the following two areas:
Cause 1: HDD is Not Connected Properly.
Solution:
1. Please check whether the status light of HDD on the NVR front panel is on/off.
2. If it is off, please power off the NVR and open the NVR housing.

Cause 2: HDD is not recognized
Solution:
1. Please make sure you're using the original HDD, or ensure use the HDD with required specifications.

2. Please power off the NVR and open the NVR housing.

3. Please restart the NVR and observe if the problem is solved.
Second, the problem may also be in the NVR settings. We recommend that you check the following two areas:
Cause 3: The Recycle Record Function is Not Enabled, HDD is Full so Will Not Record
Solution:
Please check whether the HDD auto overwrite has been enabled. Please refer to

If the HDD can't overwrite, please contact Zosi after-sales service team at service@zositech.com, we will help you to troubleshoot the problem.

Cause 4: The Recording and Schedules Settings are not correctly
Solution:
Please check the recording setting and recording schedule of each channel.

Note*:
1. Please unplug and plug the HDD after Power Off the NVR.
