Solutions to Connection Issue between Camera & Recorder
Hi, y’all,
This help article is intended to guide you on how to properly connect the cameras to the recorder after you have received the ordered product, so that they work together properly.
Of course, there may be subtle differences in operation depending on the style of the recorder. Let's start with the DVR!

*Here is a simple and intuitive video showing the operation.
Simply put, all that is required is:
1. Unravel the Camera Cable and separate the two ends.
*Each end should contain one BLUEvideo connection and one RED power connection;
2. Locate the PURPLE stickers attached to the wires with the BLUE connection, one sticker should say “Connect to Camera”, the other sticker should say “Connect to DVR”;
3. Take the BLUE connection (to camera) from the Camera Cable, and connect it to the BLUE connection attached to the Camera.
*Zosi device features a security lock on the camera cable, which will lock the cables in place ensuring a safe and constant connection.
Please line up the pin, push in and turn clockwise.
4. Take the RED power connection from the Camera Cable, and attach it to the RED power connection attached to the Camera;
5. Take the BLUE connection (to DVR) and connect it to the back of the DVR under the desired channel;
* Please don’t forget to use the security lock. Line up the pin, push in and turn clockwise.
6. Take the RED connection attached to that same cable, and connect it to one of the ends of the 4-to-1 Power Splitter;
7. Connect the other end of the 4-to-1 Power Splitter to the Camera Power Adapter;
8. Repeat Steps 1-7 for any additional cameras.
9. Once all cameras are connected, connect the Camera Power Adapter to a surge protector or power outlet. To protect your Zosi device we recommend using a surge protector to prevent against electrical damage.
As for the PoE NVR and the accompanying camera, there are 2 general ways to connect them:
1. Connect the PoE cameras to the PoE NVR directly via an Ethernet cable. (Suggested way)
2. Alternatively, you can power on this camera by a PoE switch/injector and connect to your router, then add this camera to the PoE NVR system in the same local network.
In the next article, we'll talk further about how to handle failed camera connections, so stay tuned!
