Guidance on Set up IMAP & SMTP Settings
Hello, y'all!
Previously we introduced how to set up mailboxes to receive alerts (if you haven't seen it yet, please click this link: https://supports.zositech.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/8012138757017-How-to-use-a-new-Gmail-account-to-set-Zosi-DVR-NVR-mail-alarms- ), and at the end we mentioned that IMAP and SMTP settings are necessary to ensure that emails can be read on multiple devices and other email clients simultaneously.
Therefore, we will introduce the specific setup method through this article again, and hope it will be helpful for you!
Step 1: Check that IMAP is turned on
Please open Gmail and click Settings → See All Settings in the top right, then click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab;
In the "IMAP access" section, select Enable IMAP, then click Save Changes.
Step 2: Change SMTP & other settings in your email client
Please use the table below to update your client with the correct information:
* For help updating your settings, please search your email client's Help Center for instructions on setting up IMAP.
Step 3: Please make sure your email account is enabledy

Then you can get these messages popping up.
Step 4: Get into DVR system and Setup
Right click mouse > select Main Menu > Setup > Network to check the local area network is connected successfully.
Then, select Main Menu>Information>Network to check if your DVR’s network connected successfully.
Step 5: Test and confirm the alert push is enabled properly
Right click mouse>select Main Menu>Setup>Network>Email.
Input your Gmail SMTP Server (smtp.gmail.com) in” SMTP Server”;
Input your Gmail account in “Send Address”;
Input your Gmail password in “Password”;
Input your three inbox address in “Receive Address1\2\3”;
After that, click “Apply”>click “Text”;
When the system remind you” Test Email-Successful”, which means DVR’s mail alarming is set successfully.
