Solutions to "UID Illegal" Issue
Hi y’all,
Recently I have seen some requests for help when trying to add a device to the app by scanning a QR code with an "UID Illegal" message, which is generally caused by three possible reasons:
1. The most common cause of the error is a case of App Compatibility. For the vast majority of Zosi systems, the compatible app is Zosi Smart. If you're using a different app, please try this one instead.

2. If you're already using the Zosi Smart app, there may be some distortion to the QR code causing the error.
If this is the case, on starting the device add process, you can click the pencil icon in the upper right corner → click "Manually enter device UID" to enter the device ID manually:
3. The last possibility is also related to the compatibility of the APP. If you are using a Zosi device with some special models where the ID characters below the QR code image on the body are in 12-digit format, then this is generally due to the fact that the mobile app corresponding to your device is Zosi View and not Zosi Smart.
