IMPORTANT: Cannot Upgrade Directly from Older Versions to V4.3.0!

Please ensure your device is on a compatible firmware version before attempting to upgrade. Older firmware versions may not support direct upgrade to V4.3.0. Refer to the upgrade path documentation or contact support if you are unsure.

New Features in V4.3.0

1. Web Client Support (Browser-Based Live View)

The C298 PoE now supports live video playback directly in a web browser, with H.264 video output. This allows you to view your camera feeds without installing any client software.

Supported Web Client Features:

• Live preview (sub-stream only; stream quality cannot be switched)
• Basic PTZ directional control
• Image color settings
• Mirror/flip settings
• Basic OSD (On-Screen Display) settings

2. NVR Standalone Settings in APP

(Requires the latest version of the APP)

The mobile APP now supports per-channel configuration directly from the NVR interface, including:

• Channel push notifications
• Mirror/flip settings
• Night vision settings
• Alarm settings:
  • Motion detection
  • Human & vehicle detection
  • Area detection
  • People counting
• PTZ settings
• Recording schedule
• Privacy masking

3. Dual-Lens Live View in APP

The APP now supports dual-lens live view. You can choose between single-lens view or dual-lens view. The APP defaults to single-lens mode.

4. Gun-Ball Linkage Tracking

The NVR and APP now support new tracking modes for gun-ball (dual-lens PTZ + fixed) camera configurations:

Manual Tracking:

When enabled, a targeting crosshair appears on the gun camera's live view. You can manually move the crosshair, and the ball camera will automatically track it — following any position you point to.

Dual-Lens Linkage Tracking:

When enabled, the ball camera automatically rotates its lens to track a target when the gun camera detects human activity in its field of view.

Human Tracking (Supplemental)

Human Tracking: When enabled, the ball camera automatically rotates its lens to track a human target when it detects one.

Note: Human Tracking and Dual-Lens Linkage Tracking CANNOT be enabled at the same time. Only one tracking mode can be active. You must choose between the two.

Upgrade Instructions

1. Download the V4.3.0 firmware file from the link below
2. Verify your current firmware version — if you are on a much older version, contact support for the correct upgrade path
3. Log in to your NVR or camera web interface
4. Navigate to System → Maintenance → Firmware Upgrade
5. Upload the firmware file and apply the upgrade
6. After upgrade, the device will reboot automatically — do NOT power off during this process
