• HDMI 1.4 or Higher: Use an HDMI 1.4 cable or higher. HDMI cables from version 1.4 onward support both video and audio signals, which is crucial if your cameras have two-way audio.
• High-Speed HDMI Cable: Ensure you use a high-speed HDMI cable if your DVR/NVR supports high-resolution output (up to 4K).
• Cable Length: For distances up to 15 feet, standard HDMI cables will work well. For longer distances, consider using an active HDMI cable or HDMI signal boosters to prevent signal loss.

• Standard VGA Cable: VGA cables are suitable if you are connecting to an older monitor or display that does not support HDMI. However, VGA cables only carry video signals and do not support audio.
• Cable Length: Standard VGA cables are effective for distances up to 25 feet. For longer distances, consider using a VGA cable with a built-in signal booster.

• If Your Cameras Have Two-Way Audio: Use an HDMI cable to take advantage of the audio output function. HDMI cables will carry both the video and audio signals, ensuring you can utilize the two-way audio feature.

• Adapters: If your display device only supports HDMI and your DVR/NVR has a VGA output, you can use a VGA to HDMI adapter. Conversely, for HDMI output to VGA input, use an HDMI to VGA adapter.
• Quality: Always choose cables from reputable brands to ensure signal quality and durability. Inferior cables may degrade video and audio quality or fail prematurely.
